I tried to download the footage from the cameras via firewire in FCP and the capture kept crashing within a couple of minutes. It was frustrating. I switched capture scratch disks to an internal hard drive and guess what? It captured smoothly.

Hello excel magicians, Can someone please lend me a helping hand with a macro? I am trying to achieve the same result that I would using PowerQuery(Unpivot Columns) and Unpivot Sheet2 from Column D onward dynamically. Check if month is already in Sheet2, if not append rows from Sheet1. Excel unpivot macro fixes pivot table source data that has amounts in multiple columns instead of single column. Download sample file with code. The Excel Unpivot macro on this page will restructure this type of data, and put all the amounts into a single column, with the month names in.

I often have to VNC back to my home MacBook Pro (Snow Leopard) over a UMTS wireless connection; not ideal in terms of speed, but not bad either. When I VNC back from a Mac client, things work really well.
The screen loads a bit blurry (like a progressive JPEG) and then it sharpens up. From a Windows machine (using RealVNC) I don't get the first 'blurry' stage, it loads pixel-perfect only. That sounds like a good thing, but it means that I get limited feedback and it's all a bit slow.
Seeing the 'blurry' image first is much better. Does this make any sense? Is there a Windows VNC client that can achieve this? Ideally, I don't want to have to install an alternative VNC server as I often need to connect to other Mac machines, too.
Any help would be much appreciated.
The problem is that by default, OS X expects to get a username AND password for authentication, while standard VNC clients just send a password. Connecting from the OS X Finder (/Screen Sharing util) works because that knows how to send both the username and password. If you want to connect from standard clients, you need to set a VNC compatibility password (which can be used without a username) in System Preferences - Sharing - Screen Sharing or Remote Management - Computer Settings - 'VNC viewers may control screen with password:'. Side note: the 'Screen Sharing' and 'Remote Management' services are essentially the same thing - the difference is that Remote Management ALSO enables Apple Remote Desktop features (e.g.
Report generation, file transfer, etc).
The dispute between Apple and Samsung continues to play out in U.S. Court, with Apple working its way through its list of witnesses as it seeks to convince a jury that Samsung has infringed upon patents and designs related to the iPhone and iPad. Among the interesting developments yesterday was the admission into evidence of an internal Samsung memo acknowledging that the company had suffered a 'crisis of design' after the introduction of the iPhone, with Apple's lawyers arguing that the memo is evidence of Samsung's strategy to shift gears and copy the iPhone's design. On the memo: It’s a memo that Samsung didn’t want admitted into the trial, and until now had kept it out.
I have a complex spreadsheet that makes extensive use of VBA, including Command Buttons and Event Handlers. I have developed it over quite a few years, and therefore quite a few versions of Excel, but only ever on Windows versions of Excel. It is able to be run on all Excel versions from 97 to 2010.
